If you have a consult, nProbe, AFC, or anything else that can log your pulls, then certainly utilize one of them.  the point was to see where you are making peak boost (RPM) in each gear in a controlled (flat) environment.  If you have no other choice but stock boost gauge and tach, then you will just note your observations, even if the data isn't perfect because of the user error.  YOu'll have the same error in your "post" test anyway, but I bet the RPM difference will be 500 or more, so it should be easy to see the changes.  You'll have to do the boost 1:1 of course to be accurate. SS
